The New Life Tour
A Mission of Historic Proportion
As we follow God’s leadership in our lives, history truly does become His story.
First Baptist Church has been a part of the mission endeavor in Belarus for nearly 15 years. It began with a partnership with a church in a small Belarusian village named Uschachi. In 2000, members of First Baptist traveled to Belarus for the first time and again in 2006 and 2008.
On June 20-29 of this year 18 members of First Baptist will travel again to Belarus as part of a larger group of 52 to take part in the historic dedication of The Baptist House of Mercy in Kobrin, Belarus. You can watch a video about the story of this wonderful ministry at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VpsXBQhR-L0.
Musicians from First Baptist will, along with other musicians from FBC Dexter, FBC Oak Grove, and FBC Jackson, MO , join hearts and voices with our Belarussian brothers and sisters for the House of Mercy dedication as well as evangelistic concerts in Kobrin, Minsk, and Kolodishiy.

"You are the Light” - Family Mission Project

First Baptist Church of Farmington is once again having their local mission project . The week of June 7-11, 2010 from 7:30 am until 3:30 pm, they will help families within Farmington by completing tasks that the homeowners would have difficulty completing because of age, disability, or possibly finances.

This will be the fourth year for the mission project. In 2007 we helped 50 families, in 2008, 60 families, and in 2009, 78 families. In the past we have washed the outside of homes, cleaned up yards, mowed, painted, made ramps, cleaned gutters, and many other outside projects. Each project is evaluated to determine the feasibility of being competed.

The congregation of First Baptist Church would like to let the people of Farmington know that we care and that we want to help. Each year we have over 100 people participate in the mission project. Our goal is to let the love of Jesus Christ shine through each of us. The scriptures tell us to “Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” Matthew 5:16

If you, or someone you know, has a project that may need help, please contact Chuck Henson, Minister of Education, at First Baptist Church, 210 North “A” Street, 756-4654.
