Associate Pastor for Worship

Jeremy Champion

Jeremy began serving First Baptist Church of Farmington as their Associate Pastor for Worship in August 2015.  Prior to serving at First Baptist Church of Farmington he served churches in Illionis, Florida, and Conneticut.  Since a child Jeremy developed a love for music and serving in his local church.  It was during his late adolescent years that Jeremy felt the Lord leading him into vocational ministry.  As such, he attended and graduated from Missouri Baptist University with a Bachelor of Music degree in Church Music (piano emphasis).  While attending MoBap Jeremy meet his wife, Mechelle.  Soon after graduation the two were married and began serving together in ministry.  Feeling lead to continue his studies in worship, Jeremy completed his Master of Arts degree in Worship Studies (leadership concentration) from Liberty University.

While Jeremy loves the role God has given him in ministry, it is his role as a daddy that gives him his greatest joy. Jeremy and Mechelle have four children: Riley; Parker; Bailey; and Logan. They love to do things as a family and enjoy the smaller things in life, such as watching movies together or playing in the river, but are thrilled to be a part of God’s bigger picture as they serve as a family at FBC.
