Staff
Rev. John Jackson has served First Baptist since July 1971 and is married to Geneva Arlene (Matheis) Jackson. They have four children: Matthew (Kansas City, MO), Mark (Denton, TX), Lynette (Alton, ILL.), and Michael (Alexandria, LA).
John earned a B.S. degree in Music Education from William Jewell College in Liberty, MO (1968) and Master of Church Music degree in Church Music Education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary at Fort Worth, TX (1971).
He also serves as the volunteer Associate Executive Director of the Future Leadership Foundation, and has traveled extensively on short term music mission projects to the Far East, Middle East , and Western & Eastern Europe.
