Dino in Concert
Sunday, June 3 at 6:00 PM.
From Lincoln Center in New York City, to the National Quartet Convention in Nashville, to the TV studio, to the stages of Europe, Russia, and the Orient, Dino Kartsonakis, known professionally simply as “Dino,” has inspired audiences with his piano artistry. His extensive training and background in live performance, film scores, and work at Julliard and conservatories in France and Germany, make him a consummate performer who is fluent in all musical styles from classical, to pop, to Gospel, and beyond. It is this quality performance life that has earned him a Grammy Award for the soundtrack of the film The Apostle, a Grammy nomination for “Chariots of Fire,” and eight Gospel Music Association Dove Awards.
There will be no tickets sold or reserved seating at this event. Doors will open at 5:30 PM and a freewill offering will be taken. For more information, call the church office at 756-4654.
Guatemala Update . . .
“Sharing Hearts and Hands” is the theme for our summer missions project to Guatemala. This is a true picture of what we hope to accomplish as we minister to the people of Totonicapán during the week of June 14-22.
As a result of a pre-site visit by David Holman and John Jackson, we have learned much about the needs of the churches and the area. Several have indicated an interest in physically going to Guatemala with us. Others, like our Seed-Sewers, are already actively preparing. Team members include: John W. Jackson, Susan and David Holman, Karen Moore, Michelle Spray and Linda Stewart.

Rehearsals on Wednesdays [5:30-7:00 PM]
Knights! Castles! Princesses! Dragons!
Join Princess Pride, Sir Brags-a-lot, and their curious band on an amazing trek in a very faraway land. When the Carpenter from another kingdom brings the troubling news that their castle (built far away from the King), is actually built on sand and will not withstand the coming storm, they hesitantly choose to follow him as he has promised to show them this "better Kingdom," and assures them he'll take them "all the way, and will never leave them." Encountering troubles, temptations, and some very funny characters along the way, ultimately their narrow road to "The Shining Kingdom" seems hopelessly blocked by the Dragon Doom. But the seemingly-simple Carpenter steps forward to fight the dragon on their behalf, and vows that "even if you hear that I have died slaying the dragon, don't fear -- my Father has promised I'll be victorious, and see you safely home!"
Rehearsals begin the Wednesday night following the last day of school. CD's are available and may be picked up in the church office. Cost for each CD is $6.00.
