First Baptist Church provides a well-rounded Christian education program for children. Through Bible study, worship, music, and missions activities the children are introduced to the love of Jesus Christ and His teachings.
Each Sunday morning at 10:30 AM, excluding the first Sunday of the month, we host a children’s worship service called Lighthouse Harbor, led by our Children’s Pastor and children’s volunteers. During this time, the children sing songs, hear a lesson, have snacks, play games, and do craft time. Lighthouse Harbor is for children age 4 to Grade 6 and is located on the second floor of our Children’s building, and above the Welcome Center.
Also on Sunday mornings from 9:15-10:15 AM is Sunday School for all ages including children from newborn-Grade 6. For a list of room numbers and groups, click here.
We have nursery care available for babies up through age 3 during all of our worship services and Sunday School. Our nursery volunteers are led by two wonderful paid caregivers, Tracey Skuta and Maryann Rhives, who are trained in taking care of infants. They will assist you in registering your child, assessing any allergy or medical needs, and taking emergency contact information.
We have our AWANA program on Wednesday nights during the school year from 5:45 p.m.-8 p.m! AWANA will include games, Bible teaching, memory verses, choir, and missions.

If your child is not yet registered for AWANA, they can register by paper form on their first night, or you can preregister your child at any time during the year at the link below under “Upcoming FBC Kids Events.”
VBS is a big event for FBC Kids and you do not want to miss out! VBS is a fun week of Bible stories, crafts, mission studies, songs, video dramas, recreation, and snacks. This year's VBS will be June 23-27, 2025 from 8:30-11:30 a.m. The theme will be "Magnified: Discovering the Bigness of God in the Smallest of Things."
